    Under the initiative of PM SHRI, which focuses on experiential learning and holistic development of a child’s personality, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan gives equal importance to Sports, Physical Fitness and Health Education for the growth of each student. Apart from simple exercises during morning assembly and games periods, every child is encouraged and given the opportunity to participate in various Games and Sports / Yoga activities of choice through Inter House competitions. All Students are divided into seven age groups to compete in Individual Sports events, while competing in Team Games. They are also divided into four houses for the inter-house competitions.

    ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
    Annual sports day was celebrated to encourage the spirit of sports and healthy competition during
    the sports events. It promotes physical fitness, teamwork, discipline and other values.

    MINI SPORTS MEET (CHILDREN’S DAY)
    For Primary Children our school organizes a separate ONE DAY MINI SPORTS MEET on 14 th November
    as “BAL DIVAS (CHILDREN’S DAY)” every year under Common Minimum Programme (CMP).

    NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

    The National Sports Day is celebrated in our school on 29 th August every year. On this day, students
    get an opportunity to display their athletic talents and learn valuable life lessons in teamwork,
    leadership, and perseverance.

    SELF DEFENCE TRAINING

    Self defence Training is organised from time to time for the students of class 6 th to 8 th both for Boys
    and Girls. It helps students to become strong and boost their confidence and the ability to protect
    themselves in difficult situations.

    INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

    On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the event was celebrated with full Zeal and enthusiasm in
    school premises. Yoga aims to provide mental health, physical fitness, of mind, body and soul. It also
    rejuvenates our body and keeps us calm.

    FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
    Fit India Movement was organized with active participation of students in rally, yoga, meditation and
    athletics events. The main aim of this movement is to make India a fit nation by inculcating the habit
    of fitness and sports among the people and imparting a physically active lifestyle in India.
